Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This policy explains how information is handled when you use the VIV Capital website, its assessment tools, or contact us about a family-office or private-capital mandate. It covers this website; any separate engagement may carry additional confidentiality and data-handling terms.

1. Information you choose to provide

When you make an enquiry, you may provide your name, organisation, email address, phone number, role, investment interests, country or corridor, timing, capital range, and a description of your needs. You may also choose to share portfolio, company, financial, governance or impact information in correspondence.

Please provide only information necessary for your enquiry. Do not include passwords, identity documents, bank credentials or confidential third-party information in the initial enquiry. Share another person's information only when you have authority to do so.

2. Enquiries and email

The website's contact wizard currently prepares an email in your own email application. It does not itself confirm or automatically deliver a submission to VIV. Information reaches us when you choose to send that email or contact us directly.

Enquiries are addressed to viv@viv.capital and nikhil@startupxy.com. Your email provider and the receiving email providers process messages under their own terms and privacy policies.

3. Calculators and information stored on your device

The assessment tools calculate results in your browser. Some tools save inputs, holdings, assumptions, weights or results in your browser's local storage so they remain available on later visits. Related tools may reuse those saved holdings, such as the succession transition planner.

The tools do not automatically submit these saved inputs to VIV. If you choose an email or sharing action, information you include may be shared through that action. Local storage is specific to the browser and website address you use; it is not a secure vault. Other people with access to the same browser profile may be able to see saved information.

You can remove saved information by clearing this website's site data or local storage in your browser settings. Clearing only cached images or files may not remove it. Removing site data can reset saved assessments and portfolio entries.

4. Website operation, cookies and technical information

The site's own calculator and enquiry code uses browser storage rather than advertising cookies. No advertising or third-party analytics trackers are included in that code at the time of this update.

As with other websites, hosting, network and security providers may process technical information such as an IP address, browser or device details, requested pages and access times to deliver the site, diagnose problems and protect against misuse. Provider-level logging, storage locations and retention are governed by those providers' arrangements; this policy does not promise that browsing produces no technical records.

5. Why information is used

Information you send may be used to respond to your enquiry, understand your mandate, assess whether VIV can assist, arrange requested discussions, and manage a relationship or agreed engagement. Where applicable, it may also be used to maintain necessary records, protect against misuse, and meet legal obligations.

We will seek any consent required for a particular use. Simply browsing this website is not consent to unrelated marketing or to sharing your confidential portfolio information.

6. Sharing and third-party services

Emails sent through the contact wizard go to the two recipients identified above. Service providers involved in hosting, security or communications may process information needed to provide those services.

If an engagement requires external legal, tax, investment or operating specialists, the appropriate information-sharing arrangements should be agreed before confidential mandate information is shared. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by applicable law or a lawful request. We do not use the website's tools to sell your saved calculator inputs to advertisers.

Links to other websites are governed by their own privacy policies. Their inclusion does not mean that VIV controls their practices.

7. Retention, security and international processing

Information saved by a tool can remain in your browser until you remove it or the browser clears it. Correspondence may need to be retained for the enquiry, an agreed engagement, necessary records or applicable legal obligations. A specific retention period is not stated here; you can ask us about the records relating to you.

Hosting and email services may process information in countries other than your own. Appropriate requirements and safeguards depend on the service and applicable law. No website, local browser storage or email system can guarantee absolute security. Use a secure device and avoid sending sensitive documents until an appropriate channel has been agreed.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

You can choose not to provide optional enquiry details and can clear locally saved tool information at any time. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or raise a complaint.

For privacy requests, concerns or information about how your enquiry is handled, email viv@viv.capital and, if helpful, copy nikhil@startupxy.com. Tell us what you are requesting without sending unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify your identity. Some requests may be limited by applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. These contacts are not presented as a formally appointed data-protection officer.

9. Children

This website is intended for adult business and investment users, not children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and address it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website's services or data-handling arrangements change. The current version and its update date will be posted on this page. Additional notice or consent will be sought where required by applicable law.
